About the artist:

Connie J. Boswell creates acrylic paintings exclusively with a painting knife.  Following graduation from Central Missouri State University with a major in art education, Ms. Boswell began a career as a professional artist.  Her work, which has won numerous honors, is featured in the Wright Gallery located in Cape Porpoise, Maine.
In 1993, 1994, and 1995, her paintings were selected for inclusion in the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society  Art Exhibit.  Her work is in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Canada.
Connie, her husband Stephen Fried, and their retired greyhound Maude reside in Kansas City, Missouri.
Connie considers the use of color and light as the distinctive feature of her work.  She states that she attempts to mix colors but not over mix, since she wants the canvas to hold separate all the colors.  When the viewer looks at her work from a distance, the mind reads as realism what is actually an abstract mosaic.  It is her goal to capture the world's three-dimensional beauty on a two-dimensional surface.  We are extremely grateful to Connie Boswell for her donation of this beautiful artwork.
