announced there was an Executive Session at 6 p.m. to discuss litigation and
real estate per RSMo 610.021(1) and (2) and there were no announcements from
that session.
Mayor Dusenbery presented a plaque to Alderman Marc
Sportsman to commemorate his six years of serving as Ward 4 Alderman for the
City of
Boy Scout Brian Birchler,Troop 261, announced he was
attending this meeting for his merit badge in communications. Brian said he is a Star scout working on
becoming a Life scout.
Mayor Dusenbery requested an amendment to the agenda
to replace Item 5C a C/A
Ordinance Authorizing a Contract with AT&T for city hall phone services
with a C/A Ordinance to Authorize an Agreement with Attorney Robert Black and

First” Customer Service Plan (non-action item)
Public Works Director
Jeff Rupp reviewed a Customer Service Plan that was recently enacted by the
Public Works department to help ensure that a quality standard of customer
service is consistently provided to all consumers requiring public works
services. Members of the Board and the
Mayor commended Mr. Rupp on this initiative and suggested that it should become
a standard for all city hall departments.

Animal Shelter – Mr. Bay reminded everyone that the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter Auction will be held on May 6th at the Olde Mill from 2 to 5 p.m.
Chamber of Commerce/Events – Mrs. Butcher reported that “Casino Night” the Chamber’s big fundraiser for the year will be held on April 19th at the VFW from 5 to 9 p.m. and $25 buys $200 worth of fun money. She further reported that the Tourism Events Calendar is available online now and her office recently entered four pages single-spaced of Parkville events for April and May.

Community Land and Recreation Board – Mr. Brooks invited everyone to participate in the Arbor Day celebration at English Landing Park on April 27th.

Alderman Butcher reported that in addition to Mr. Hutsler and Carol Kuhns, Debbie Hopkins and Linda Barnard will serve as co-chairs for this year’s Christmas on the River.
