CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Kathryn A. Dusenbery called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Ward 4 Alderman Brian Atkinson - ABSENT WITH PRIOR NOTICE

ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Joe Turner

City Clerk Barbara Lance

Mrs. Lance said Mr. Atkinson asked that it be noted that his absence was because he had been called to the site of the hurricane in Florida; he is an insurance claims adjuster.

ALDERMAN FERGUSON MOVED TO CONTINUE THE MEETING UNTIL THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14^th, AT 7 P.M., BECAUSE OF LACK OF QUORUM; ALDERMAN McCOY SECONDED; ALL AYE; MOTION CARRIED 4-0.

After the meeting was thus temporarily adjourned, it was agreed the mayor could sign a proclamation for Constitution Week, celebrated annually by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

City Clerk Barbara Lance asked if staff could handle the matter of display of a banner for Water Week, to be celebrated by the Missouri Department of Conservation in English Landing Park October 8-9th, 2004. Aldermen agreed.

Mr. Rittman and Mrs. Lance gave information about Taste of Parkville, which was to be held September 14^th. Mrs. Lance had advance tickets.
