City Collector/Administrative Assistant

The City of Parkville is looking to hire a City Collector/Administrative Assistant. This full-time position is responsible for City receivables, financial reporting, business licenses, and online content. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are a must. A high school diploma and at least four years of education and/or experience is required.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for billing and collection of City invoices and fees.
- Oversees and issues business licenses.
- Publishes content to the City’s website and social media accounts.
- Seeks out grant opportunities and assists the preparation of applications with City staff.
- Reconciles the City’s bank accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepares the monthly financial reports for the Board of Aldermen.
- Assists the City Treasurer and Auditor in preparing the annual financial audit.
- Assists other staff as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Education & Experience
- Four years of combined education and experience in a related field.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office--particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
- Must have a knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with staff.
- Knowledge of Incode accounting software is a plus.

- Salary DOQ.
